Assistant managers work at the direction of the General Manager. Assistant Managers are trained to perform all the duties performed bythe cashier, bartender, cook, and busser/dishwasher with additional responsibility for coordinating the daily operations of a restaurant in theGeneral Manager's absence, ensuring compliance with BOUDREAUX’S CAJUN KITCHEN standards in all areas of operation including:product preparation and delivery, guest relations, restaurant maintenance, team oversight, inventory management, and other duties as required or assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Primary responsibility includes understanding requirements to perform all tasks in the following positions: prep, bartender,busser/dishwasher, cook and cashier.

·Responsible for daily operations of the restaurant in the absence of the General Manager including training employees, opening andclosing the bar, ensuring all food preparation is complete, coordinating employee breaks and shift changes, and completing shiftsummary reports.

·Motivates and coaches FOH AND BOH and assists in the training of new hires.

·Excels in performing all FOH AND BOH tasks in the following positions: bartender, cashier, busser/dishwasher, and cook.

·Works as a team player to support other employees in completing their tasks.

·May assist General Manager in day-to-day operations with tasks including scheduling, ordering, and team development.

·Ensures that the OSHA, local health and safety codes, and BOUDRAEUX’S CAJUN KITCHEN safety and security policies are followed.

·Maintains fast, accurate and outstanding service, ensures an excellent guest experience, and makes sure all menu items are consistentwith BOUDREAUX’S CAJUN KITCHEN standards.

·Completes all other duties as assigned.

·This position offers input into staff discipline; however, does not directly participate in the hiring or firing of other restaurant staff.
